: this permit is to widen my driveway in the front of my home. I would like to widen on the north end of the current driveway by aprx 10 feet for the following reasons: the driveway is currently only a single drive lane and my 15 year old twins are now driving on an instruction permit and will soon have their license. We live on a very busy street and a widened driveway will allow 4 drivers living in household including new drivers to turn their vehicle around in the driveway for a safer entrance to shermer rd where traffic includes a constant stream of cars including vehicles regularly speeding in excess of 45 mph. There is no legal parking allowed on shermer and the widened driveway will allow us to park additional vehicles at our home. The closest legal street parking is one block away around the corner and down the block on dewes. The location I wish to widen is currently 100% grass on my property with no trees. Subject to final estimates I am likely planning to hire edgar with aztec stone design and brick paving for the project. I have not yet signed a contract for the work but aztec has previously completed permitted work on my property (2023 rear deck). Thank you
