Construct a 491 total ft in-ground swimming pool. No gas no heat no spa. Install new electrical run: 95 ft rigid pvc conduit #10 thwn wire. Line will run above ground along house eaves. From main panel to sub panel at pool equipment. Safety device is a 5 ft wrought iron fencing installed around the exterior of swimming pool. Code modification - appeal was hereby made to the building official for a modification from or interpretation of section: ispsc 305.4 of the 2018 irc with mesa amendments which requires that an alarm compliant with 2017 ul requirements be provided as barrier when windows of a dwelling or structure serve as part of the barrier and where doors and/or windows provide direct access to the pool/spa through that wall. Approved with stipulations: installation of self closing self latching doors in lieu of an alarm fence or pool cover. Homeowner shall not change or modify the barrier in any way without approval of the building official. Homeowners shall inform future owner of the conditions of this code modification. These plans shall conform to the requirements of 2018 ispsc and the mesa residential code with all city of mesa amendments. Additional approval with stipulations includes a latching device not less than 54” above the floor. Emergency escape windows may have an alarm or a latching device not less that 54” above the floor. Homeowner shall not change or modify the barrier in any way without approval of the building official. Homeowners shall inform future owner of the conditions of this code modification.
